On the day before John went back to New Mexico, we all spent an afternoon in La Jolla. We also took some pictures of ourselves, in addition to photographing John and the scenery.

All of the pigeons liked crumbs, but these particularly tame beauties would actually walk onto my arm for a treat.

Look at this squirrelly little beggar. Notice the pigeons, attracted by the prospect of crumbs.

The squirrels would take bread from us with their own little paws. They were very polite.

This pretty little bird stands out with her auburn feathers.

"Mommy, what are the birds doing?"

Here is a nice shot of all the seals.

What could this little fellow be meditating about?

The gnarled roots are a nice roof for the squirrels' underground home.

Don't you think this squirrel somewhat resembles a ferret in this shot?

At this squirrel convention the little beasties contrive to relieve us of more bread.

Here's another shot of the sentry keeping watch. This squirrel also reminds me of the meercats at the zoo.

Lots of the squirrels are quite skinny, but this one is quite well-fed.

For being a rodent, this little beauty is quite ravishing.
One evening John met up with his sometime sweetheart Stephanie, my birth mom. Here are some pictures of the two of them, as well as one shot including me. John's visit allowed me to be together with both of my birth parents for the first time in eighteen years. I would have paid better attention when I was five had I known that another reunion was so far off.
